Legal Marijuana NOW Candidate Mike Marvin Exits Nebraska Senate Race Citing Health Issues, Endorses Dan Osborn
Mike Marvin, the Legal Marijuana NOW candidate for the U.S. Senate race in Nebraska, has announced his withdrawal from the contest due to worsening health issues. Marvin, who previously served as executive director of the Nebraska Association of Public Employees from 2013 to 2017, cited a recent medical follow-up that confirmed his condition had deteriorated. Despite his departure from active campaigning, Marvin will remain on the ballot. He has publicly urged his supporters to back nonpartisan candidate Dan Osborn, rather than the incumbent Republican candidate Pete Ricketts. Marvin stated on Facebook that his primary motivation has always been to defeat Pete Ricketts, and his health prevents him from dedicating the necessary effort to the race. The Nebraska general election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, and with Marvin's effective exit, the race is now primarily focused on Osborn and Ricketts.
