Flight Attendants Fall Ill from Unknown Odor on Hawaiian Airlines Flight to Honolulu
Multiple flight attendants on a Hawaiian Airlines flight, operating an Alaska Airlines route from the continental United States to Honolulu, reported feeling ill due to an unknown odor in the cabin. First responders from various agencies were called to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Thursday afternoon to address the situation. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services confirmed that seven patients, all Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants, experienced symptoms such as nausea and headaches. Paramedics and EMTs evaluated these individuals outside Terminal 1. Notably, no passengers were affected by the odor. Despite the symptoms, all seven flight attendants declined transport to the emergency room. A Hawaiian Airlines spokesperson stated that the plane is currently undergoing inspection to determine the source of the odor before it can be returned to service. The airline expressed gratitude to the medical personnel for their prompt response.
