International Labour Organization Launches Youth Leadership Lab Innovation Challenge to Support Youth Employment
The International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with E4ImpactAfrica Foundation, has announced the Youth Leadership Lab Innovation Challenge 2026. This initiative aims to identify and strengthen youth-led organizations in Turkana and Garissa, focusing on supporting young people, particularly refugees, host-community youth, young women, and persons with disabilities, to access decent work and sustainable livelihoods. The challenge offers financial support ranging from $15,000 to $40,000, with a deadline for applications set for August 26, 2026. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the ILO to address global unemployment and informal employment challenges, as highlighted in their projections for 2026.
