AWS Faces Extended Recovery Period for UAE and Bahrain Cloud Regions After Drone Strikes
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that it will take several months to fully restore its cloud services in the UAE and Bahrain regions following damage from drone strikes. The strikes, linked to the ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, directly hit two data centers in the UAE and one in Bahrain. AWS has advised customers to migrate resources to other regions and restore inaccessible data from backups. The company has also suspended billing operations for the affected regions while recovery efforts are underway.
