The operation culminated on Thursday with the execution of search warrants across Orange and Los Angeles counties, leading to five arrests. Authorities recovered approximately 2,400 catalytic converters, along with several large shipping boxes containing precious metals, two unregistered firearms, and over $105,000 in cash. The bust was the result of a three-month investigation by two units within the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which had been tracking links among a series of catalytic converter thefts. Those arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime include Jorge Alberto Delgadillo, Julio Moreno Reyes, Gilberto Valdovino, Brayan Cruz De Leon, and Hugo Saenz Marin.

Russell County Sheriff's Office Executes Search Warrant, Leads to Fentanyl and Meth Trafficking Charges

A man in Russell Springs was arrested early Saturday morning following the execution of a search warrant as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Deputy Stone Bolin of the Russell County Sheriff’s Office obtained the warrant for a residence located just north of Russell Springs Elementary School. During the search, law enforcement officials allegedly discovered evidence that led to the arrest of Dagan Hatter, 58. Hatter was taken into custody at approximately 4 a.m. and faces multiple charges, including second-offense trafficking in fentanyl, second-offense trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Hatter was served with a Green Circuit Court indictment, which charges him with drug trafficking in that county. He is currently being held at the Russell County Detention Center.
