Four Fatalities Reported in Mill Creek Vehicle Crash, Investigation Underway
Four individuals died on Saturday after a vehicle crashed into Mill Creek near the Western Hills Viaduct in Cincinnati, according to Cincinnati police. The vehicle reportedly struck a guardrail before entering the creek. Family and friends gathered at the crash site for a balloon release to honor those who lost their lives. Tracey Jones, the mother of the sole survivor, stated that her daughter is in serious but traumatized condition. Jones described the vehicle losing control, flipping multiple times, and then entering the water, where it quickly submerged. Her nephew was among the deceased. The Cincinnati Fire Department utilized an inflatable boat to access the submerged vehicle as the water was too deep for firefighters to safely reach it. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful due to the extended time the victims were underwater.
