Seattle police are actively searching for the driver of a red Acura sedan involved in a hit-and-run incident that left 21-year-old skateboarder Jordan Brito with severe injuries. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on August 12 near 8th Avenue and Harrison Street in South Lake Union as Brito was commuting to work. According to Seattle police, the driver struck Brito from behind and fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Brito sustained multiple skull fractures and brain bleeding, necessitating several surgeries. His mother, Kelly McDonald, expressed frustration over the lack of immediate leads, noting that a nearby camera that might have captured the event was unfortunately pointed away. Brito has no memory of the collision or the weeks immediately following it.

Despite the efforts of first responders, Faulk was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are seeking dash cam video or eyewitness accounts from drivers who were in the area around noon on Labor Day. They have noted that two vehicles pulled onto the shoulder approximately 100 feet from the crash site before driving away.
