Community Rallies Behind West Side Pastor Brian Hoehler Following Stage 3 Cancer Diagnosis
Pastor Brian Hoehler of New Hope Community Church in Green Township, Ohio, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. The diagnosis came as a shock to Hoehler and his wife, Jalal Hoehler, as he had appeared to be in good health. Despite the challenging news, the community has quickly mobilized to support him. Friends and church members organized a celebration for his recent master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, which also served as an opportunity to show solidarity. Hoehler has a history of community service, having worked as a Cincinnati police officer, started a food pantry with his wife, and currently serves as a counselor for individuals facing mental health issues. The community's response highlights his significant impact on the lives of others.
