West Chester Township Terminates VOA Country Music Festival Agreement Citing Financial Mismanagement and Lack of Economic Benefit
West Chester Township officials have announced the discontinuation of the VOA Country Music Festival, citing repeated failures by the organizers, Further Management & Productions, LLC (also known as Further Festivals), to adhere to contractual obligations and pay bills on time. The township alleges that Further Festivals created financial risk by not meeting payment deadlines for public safety costs, which forced the township to involve legal counsel and burdened taxpayers with unnecessary legal fees. For instance, for the 2024 and 2025 events, payments for public safety were late. Beyond the financial issues, the township concluded that the festival does not generate sufficient positive economic impact to justify the public investment required to sustain it.
