Heat Advisory in Effect for Cincinnati Amid High Temperatures and Humidity
Greater Cincinnati is experiencing a prolonged period of late-summer heat, with a heat advisory in effect through 8 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2026. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington, heat index values could reach up to 107°F (41.7°C) on Thursday and Friday. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, with a higher likelihood of severe weather in central Ohio. The heat is expected to ease slightly over the weekend as a cooler weather pattern begins to set in. However, temperatures will remain above average, with highs near 92°F (33.3°C) on Saturday and 85°F (29.4°C) on Sunday.
