Small Craft Advisory Issued for Lake Erie Waters

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Cleveland, Ohio, has issued a Small Craft Advisory for portions of Lake Erie, effective from 2 PM EDT on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, through late Tuesday night. Winds are expected to reach 15 to 20 knots, shifting from south to southwest, with wave heights building to 2 to 4 feet and occasionally reaching 6 feet. Sunny conditions are forecast for the day, but there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight. Water temperatures in the region are currently 63°F (17°C) off Toledo and Erie, and 65°F (18°C) off Cleveland.
