WFAE Appoints Seven New Members to Community Advisory Board to Enhance Local Engagement
WFAE, a prominent NPR news source in Charlotte, has appointed seven new members to its Community Advisory Board (CAB). The new appointees include residents from Charlotte and Mooresville, reflecting a diverse representation of the community's needs. The members are Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run International; Dmitri Beregovski from Blumenthal Arts; Brandt Boidy of Trinity Episcopal School; Sabrina Brown from UNC Charlotte; Yanira Castro of Humanity Communications Collective; Paola Garcia-Schmidt from Camino; and Byron White of College Unbound. These individuals will serve a three-year term with the possibility of a second term. The CAB plays a crucial role in advising WFAE staff on community interests related to programming and services.
