Cleveland has emerged as the leader in Ohio's labor market, surpassing Columbus, according to a report by PNC Financial Services Group. The Cleveland metropolitan area has shown significant job growth, particularly in goods-producing industries, after years of contraction. The region's manufacturing sector has narrowed the performance gap with Ohio and the nation, supported by growing supply chains in aerospace and semiconductor industries. Cleveland's housing market has also contributed to its economic strength, with home-price growth surpassing the national average. The leisure and hospitality sector in Cleveland saw a substantial 4.4% year-over-year employment increase, the highest in a decade.
