Mesa Community Gathers to Mourn Family of Four Killed in Heber Crash
Friends and family are gathering in Mesa, Arizona, to mourn a young couple, Giovanni Uballe Huerta, 26, and Kiah Begaye, 26, and their two children, ages 4 and 2, who were killed in a tragic car crash near Heber. The family was traveling home to Laveen from New Mexico when the accident occurred on State Route 260. According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), 21-year-old Jesse Lovato admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, losing control of his truck, and colliding with the family's vehicle. The collision resulted in the immediate deaths of all four family members. Two other individuals involved in the crash were transported to Phoenix hospitals with serious injuries. The community is offering support to the grieving families, who are also facing significant funeral expenses.
