Mid-South Coliseum Conservancy Announces Investor Interest for Venue Revival
The Mid-South Coliseum Conservancy has announced that private investors are willing to contribute to the revival of the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee. Corey Strong, President of the Conservancy, updated city leaders on the progress, stating that numerous individuals have pledged funds, bringing the conservancy 30% to 40% closer to their initial goal of $200,000 needed to begin the development plan. The Memphis City Council members are reportedly in agreement that the legendary entertainment venue, which has been closed for 20 years, is due for a revamp. Strong emphasized that the conservancy is not seeking large individual donations but has secured commitments from dozens of people. The next crucial step involves aligning city administrators on the path forward for the project.
