Duluth Public Schools Opens New Central Education Services Facility Downtown
Duluth Public Schools has officially opened its new 72,000-square-foot Duluth Central Education Services facility in downtown Duluth, Minnesota. The facility, located in the renovated former Duluth News Tribune building, was acquired in 2023 and underwent over $15 million in renovations. This new center is designed to offer a wide range of educational programs, including alternative schooling, adult education, special education, early childhood family education, and American Indian education. It also features specialized areas such as a science lab and an art area equipped with a kiln, alongside support services for online students. Superintendent John Magas emphasized that the facility is a key part of the district's vision to serve every student in Duluth Public Schools comprehensively, reflecting a deep dedication to the community and a broad scope of educational offerings.
