Jared Leto Sells Former U.S. Air Force Compound in Los Angeles for $12 Million
Actor and musician Jared Leto has sold his 14,649-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles for $12 million. The property, which Leto purchased for $5 million in 2015, was formerly a U.S. Air Force installation with historical ties to the country's atomic bomb program. The 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom home sits on a 1.4-acre lot and boasts a unique history, including serving as a filming location for Army training films and Air Force newsreels during the Cold War. These historical reels featured prominent stars such as Bob Hope, Jimmy Stewart, James Garner, Kim Novak, and Gregory Peck. The main structure of the mansion is equipped with three 35-millimeter screening rooms, temperature-controlled film vaults, and a full sound stage, reflecting its past as a media production facility for the Air Force. The sale was finalized in May, resulting in a significant profit for Leto.
