Bipartisan Congressional Caucus Launched to Combat Antisemitism on College Campuses
Reps. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., and Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., have announced the formation of the Combating Antisemitism on College Campuses Caucus. This bipartisan coalition aims to address the rising issue of antisemitism at institutions of higher education across the United States. The caucus will focus on coordinating oversight of how universities respond to antisemitic incidents, pressing these institutions to protect Jewish students, faculty, and staff, and ensuring the enforcement of anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies. Additionally, it plans to advance and track federal legislation targeting campus antisemitism and discrimination driven by the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
