Omaha Roundabout Safety Under Review After Security Camera Captures Crashes
Security camera footage has prompted a call for a safety review of a roundabout in South Omaha, Nebraska. The footage shows multiple crashes, including a vehicle rolling over after exiting the roundabout at high speed. Business owner Rey Marquez, who captured the footage, believes the design of the roundabout's exit may contribute to the accidents. Omaha City Council Member Ron Hug reviewed the footage and stated that the roundabout meets federal safety guidelines, attributing the crashes to driver behavior rather than design flaws.
