Mark Lewis to Step Down as CEO of Hospitality Action in 2027
Mark Lewis, the current CEO of Hospitality Action, has announced his intention to step down from his role in March 2027. Lewis has served as CEO since 2017, following a 14-year tenure at The Caterer where he was editor and publisher. Prior to becoming CEO, he was a trustee for the organization for 11 years. During his leadership, Lewis guided the charity through significant challenges impacting the hospitality industry, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit, and global economic instability. His primary focus has been on strengthening support services for hospitality workers facing crises. Under his direction, Hospitality Action expanded its Employee Assistance Programme and introduced a welfare benefits advice service, which has successfully secured over £1 million in unclaimed benefits for beneficiaries. Lewis will remain in his position until March 2027 to help launch a year-long program celebrating the charity's 190th birthday.
