Congressman Langworthy Announces $3.26 Million in FEMA Funding for Erie County Winter Storm Elliott Response
Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that Erie County, New York, will receive $3,260,556.21 in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This funding is intended to reimburse the county for 75 percent of the eligible costs incurred during Winter Storm Elliott, a severe winter storm and snowstorm that impacted Western New York between December 22 and December 31, 2022. The storm resulted in the deaths of nearly 60 residents and posed an immediate threat to public health and safety.
