Two Detained After Standoff in Columbia, Missouri, Following Felony Warrant Service
A standoff in Columbia, Missouri, led to the closure of a section of East Broadway on Tuesday afternoon. Police were attempting to serve a felony warrant to 23-year-old Ethan James McCauley for a prior weapons incident. A police Bearcat armored vehicle was deployed near East Broadway and Fyfer Place, adjacent to Boone Hospital. The Columbia Police Department confirmed on social media that officers were in a standoff with a barricaded person. Boone County emergency dispatchers issued an alert, initially closing Broadway from Ann Street to Old 63, later extending the closure to William Street. McCauley eventually exited the residence at 3:45 p.m. and was taken into custody. Police also arrested 21-year-old Zoe Georgina Honovi, alleging she obstructed officers from arresting McCauley after he refused to leave the home.
