Abby Phillip Renews Contract with CNN, Securing Prime-Time Anchor Lineup
Abby Phillip has signed a new deal to remain at CNN, where she hosts the nightly program 'CNN NewsNight'. Phillip, who joined CNN in 2017, previously served as the network’s senior political correspondent and hosted 'Inside Politics Sunday'. Her show, 'CNN NewsNight', is known for its roundtables featuring debates across the political spectrum. This renewal follows CNN's securing of other prime-time anchors, including Anderson Cooper, who signed a new contract last year and hosts 'AC 360' and 'The Whole Story'. Phillip also hosts 'Table for Five' on Saturday mornings and the streaming series 'Confessions and Obsessions'. A network spokesperson declined to comment on talent contracts, but a source confirmed Phillip's renewed deal. Variety first reported on Phillip’s new contract.
