Fire at Resin Factory in Southern Brazil Mobilizes Firefighters
A fire broke out at a resin factory in Capivari do Sul, located in the Litoral Norte region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The incident occurred on the morning of August 9, 2026, and resulted in a dense cloud of dark smoke. Firefighters from three nearby cities, including Cidreira, Pinhal, and Osório, were mobilized to combat the blaze. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, but the cause of the fire remains unknown. The factory, Resinas Jardim, is situated along the RSC-101 highway.
