San Antonio Airport Post Office Reduces Operating Hours, Closes Sundays
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) airport station in San Antonio is implementing significant changes to its operating hours, effective October 3. The facility, previously known for its extended hours and Sunday service, will now close at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 2 p.m. on Saturdays. It will also be closed entirely on Sundays. Previously, the post office was open until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. A notice posted on the facility's door, signed by Station Manager Garret Alderman, indicated that while window service hours are being reduced, the self-service kiosk will remain available 24/7, and customers will still have 24-hour access to their post office boxes. Alderman stated the new schedule is intended to "better serve the community" but did not provide a specific reason for the reduction in hours.
