Dove Fire in Sonora Sees Slight Containment as Evacuations Continue
The Dove Fire in Sonora, Tuolumne County, has reached 223 acres with slight containment achieved overnight. The fire, which began near Highway 108, has prompted evacuations and road closures in the area. CAL FIRE reports that two firefighters were injured and are receiving medical evaluation. Some evacuation orders have been downgraded, allowing limited reopening of roads. However, many areas remain under evacuation orders or warnings as firefighting efforts continue. The fire has necessitated the deployment of significant resources, including engines, water tenders, helicopters, and hand crews.
