Man Critically Shot in South Sacramento Following Argument; Baby Unharmed in Vehicle
A man was critically injured after being shot in his car in South Sacramento following an argument that began at a grocery store. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting on the 7900 block of East Stockton Boulevard after 6 p.m. The victim was found with gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition. The argument reportedly started at a Sam's Club located at Power Inn and Calvine roads and escalated, continuing onto East Stockton Boulevard where the shooting occurred. The suspect fired multiple rounds into the victim's vehicle, striking the man and a car seat that contained a baby. Fortunately, the baby was unharmed, and the baby's mother, who was also in the car, was not hit. Authorities confirmed that all shots were fired by the suspect, who subsequently fled the scene and has not yet been identified.
