Oak Harbor Teen Charged with Theft, Weapon Display, and Drug Possession After Liquor Store Incident
Eden Chase Alsup-Hill, an 18-year-old from Oak Harbor, has been charged with theft in the third degree, unlawful display of a weapon, and possession of cocaine following an incident involving the theft of liquor from Haggen. According to court documents, Alsup-Hill allegedly stole nearly $250 worth of liquor and then confronted witnesses with a knife. When detained by officers, he admitted to the theft but denied brandishing the weapon. A knife was recovered from him, along with the stolen liquor. Upon arrival at the Island County Jail, corrections officers discovered a bag of cocaine and a rolled-up $1 bill in a small pocket of his pants, despite Alsup-Hill denying having any contraband. A 14-year-old girl was also involved in the initial incident, allegedly helping to stash the alcohol and later struggling with officers while displaying a knife; her potential charges were referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
