St. Louis Volunteers Pack 437,000 Meals for 9/11 Day of Service
In St. Louis, volunteers gathered at Chaifetz Arena to pack 437,000 non-perishable meals as part of a national initiative to prepare 20 million meals for those in need. This annual food-packing event, organized by the Saint Louis Area Foodbank in partnership with various sponsors like Stifel, commemorates 9/11 by uniting for good. Stifel, a lead sponsor since the event's inception in St. Louis, also serves as a national sponsor, with 400 local employees participating across two shifts and 1,100 employees nationally across ten cities. Suzy Agin, a Stifel employee, highlighted her personal connection to the event, as her former employer, KBW, lost 67 associates on 9/11. The meals packed in St. Louis are specifically designated for the Saint Louis Area Food Bank to address local food insecurity.
