Indiana State Police Arrest Impaired Wrong-Way Driver on Indiana Toll Road
Indiana State Police arrested Kamal Abdallah, a 51-year-old man from Naperville, Illinois, after he was found driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road in LaPorte County. The incident occurred near mile marker 48 on Wednesday night. Several drivers had to take evasive action to avoid colliding with Abdallah's vehicle. Upon apprehension, troopers observed signs of impairment in Abdallah. A subsequent search of his vehicle revealed pills identified as a controlled substance and a THC vape pen. Abdallah faces multiple charges, including operating while intoxicated, reckless driving, and drug possession. He was subsequently transported to the LaPorte County Jail.
