Eliott Rodriguez Secures Statewide Labor Endorsement Ahead of Florida CD 27 Democratic Primary
Eliott Rodriguez, a former CBS Miami journalist and Democratic candidate for Florida’s 27th Congressional District, has received an endorsement from the SEIU Florida State Council. This statewide labor organization represents approximately 80,000 service-employee union workers across Florida. The endorsement comes just before the Democratic Primary for CD 27. SEIU Florida joins its local chapters, 32BJ SEIU and SEIU Healthcare Florida Local 1991, in supporting Rodriguez. Martha Baker, President of SEIU Florida State Council and SEIU 1991, stated that Rodriguez is seen as a strong advocate for workers' rights, affordable healthcare, and the right to organize.
