Small Craft Advisory for NC-SC Coastal Waters
A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for coastal waters from Surf City, North Carolina, to South Santee River, South Carolina, through Monday morning. This advisory is due to strong winds and elevated seas following the passage of a front associated with the remnants of Hurricane Isaias. Winds are currently ranging from 15 to 25 knots, with gusts up to 30 knots, and seas are reported between 5 to 8 feet depending on the specific marine zone. Conditions are expected to gradually improve starting Monday afternoon as winds and seas subside. High pressure will build over the region on Tuesday, bringing calmer conditions, before moving offshore midweek.
