Car Crashes into North Dallas Auto Repair Shop, Driver Flees Scene
A car crashed into Wayne Motors, an auto repair shop in Far North Dallas, around 2 a.m. on September 28. Surveillance video captured the vehicle veering off Dickerson Drive, going through a guardrail, and slamming into the side of the building. The impact caused significant damage, including a mangled guardrail and a cracked, charred building facade. Owner Jason Wright stated that he was alerted to the incident by missed calls from the police and later reviewed the security footage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the scene. However, the driver and three other individuals who helped pull the driver from the wreckage fled the scene before first responders, including Dallas police and fire-rescue, arrived. The car subsequently caught fire after the crash. Dallas police are currently investigating the incident and are searching for the unidentified driver.
