Morristown Council Appoints SJP Morristown Green LLC for Downtown Redevelopment, Advances Pickleball Courts
The Morristown council has unanimously appointed SJP Morristown Green LLC as the redeveloper for two key parcels of properties located along and near the Morristown Green. This company is affiliated with SJP Properties, known for developing Morristown’s M Station. The properties in question include the former Century 21 department store, which has been vacant since the 2020 pandemic, and the former Schenck Price law offices, vacant since 2010. SJP Morristown Green LLC has proposed mixed-use buildings for these sites. The plans for the North Park Place and Washington Street lots include approximately 160 residential units, 100,000 to 120,000 square feet of office space with ground-floor retail, and parking. For the former law offices at 2-10 Washington St., the proposal involves a mixed-use building with about 54 residential units, ground-floor retail, and parking.
