Atlanta Lesbian Bar Co-Owner Arrested for Alleged Noise Violation Amidst Disputed Ordinance Enforcement
Jen-Chase Daniels, co-owner of My Sister’s Room, a lesbian bar in Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested on Saturday night for an alleged noise violation. Daniels contends that the noise did not originate from her establishment. According to an incident report by arresting officer Jayden Joseph, he did not hear loud music from either My Sister's Room or a neighboring bar, but observed patrons inside My Sister's Room "projecting their voices loudly." Daniels stated she was asked for identification, which she questioned given her belief that no wrongdoing occurred, and was subsequently arrested. She claims she offered video footage demonstrating that the noise was not from her bar.
