City of Savannah to Host Public Engagement Sessions for New Multi-Modal Transportation Plan
The City of Savannah is initiating Savannah MOVES, its first multi-modal transportation implementation plan, and will host several public engagement sessions throughout October. This new plan aims to integrate various modes of transportation, including cars, buses, bicycles, micromobility options, and pedestrian pathways, into a unified and complementary system. The objective is to provide safe, seamless, and convenient travel options for all residents. These engagement opportunities will include community meetings with presentations and interactive stations, as well as pop-up events for informal feedback and discussions with the project team. An online platform is also available for community surveys and an interactive map to identify specific transportation issues and priorities. The sessions are designed to gather public input on how citizens travel and to inform the development of this comprehensive transportation network.
