1.5 Million Dozen Egg Cartons Recalled Over Salmonella Concerns
Midwest Poultry Services has voluntarily recalled over 1.5 million dozen shell eggs due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall affects eggs sold under various brands, including Kroger and Simple Truth, across six states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi. The issue was discovered during routine environmental testing, and no illnesses have been reported. The company has initiated an internal investigation and testing protocols to identify the contamination source.
