The injured student was taken to a hospital for treatment, while the suspect, a 14-year-old, was apprehended after fleeing the scene. The school was placed on lockdown, and all other students were reported safe. The campus will remain closed for students on Thursday and Friday, with no virtual classes scheduled. Governor Kemp expressed gratitude for the swift response of first responders and law enforcement, which helped control the situation and ensure the safety of students and staff.
