U.S. Representative Beth Van Duyne from Texas organized the fifth North Texas Job Fair at Globe Life Field in Arlington, attracting over 670 employers with 68,000 job openings. The event, which started in 2021, has grown significantly, becoming one of the largest workforce and hiring events in the nation. Initially, registration began with 300 businesses offering about 10,000 jobs, but the numbers surged to over 550 employers and 30,000 opportunities by the event's eve. Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling praised the event, likening it to 'the Super Bowl' of job fairs, and highlighted its potential to change lives. Local officials, including Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector Rick Barnes, emphasized the fair's role in providing career advancement opportunities for residents.
