GOP Nominee Bruce Blakeman Accuses Governor Hochul of Avoiding Debates
Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman has accused Governor Kathy Hochul of avoiding debates in the upcoming New York gubernatorial race. Blakeman claims Hochul has declined invitations to debate from media outlets PIX11 and CBS. Despite these accusations, Hochul's campaign insists she will participate in at least one debate. The New York State Public Campaign Finance Board has stated that its sponsored debate will be canceled if only one candidate participates. Hochul, who has a significant campaign fund, is not accepting public matching funds, unlike Blakeman.
