Four Individuals Stabbed in Brawl Preceding Brooklyn's J’Ouvert and West Indian American Day Parades

Four people were stabbed in a massive brawl that occurred early Monday morning in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, just before the scheduled start of the J’Ouvert and West Indian American Day parades. The incident took place around 5:45 a.m. on Carroll Street and Utica Avenue. Police responded to a 911 call and found three men with stab wounds: a 36-year-old with a puncture wound to the face, and a 32-year-old and a 23-year-old both stabbed in the neck. All three were transported to Kings County Hospital, where the 32-year-old is in critical condition. A fourth victim, a 20-year-old man with a slash wound to the chin, also went to Kings County Hospital and is expected to recover. No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbings.

Authorities stated that Perez-Amador was known to the child.
