Ivanna Lisette Ortiz Deemed Mentally Fit for Trial in Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Home Shooting Case
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, accused of firing a semiautomatic rifle at the Los Angeles home shared by singer Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, has been declared mentally competent to stand trial. The Florida-based woman faces 14 counts, including attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling. The incident occurred on March 8, while Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their three young children were reportedly home. Ortiz allegedly fired twenty rounds, with bullet holes found on the exterior gate, a fence, Rihanna's trailer's front windshield, a patio area, and the exterior wall of a nursery room. The assault charges encompass Rihanna, her family, two staff members, and two individuals in a neighboring home. The criminal case had been delayed for four months pending this competency evaluation, which Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Maria Cavalluzzi concluded on September 29.
