Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Tuscarawas County
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Tuscarawas County. The incident took place on State Route 39 at County Road 77 in Sugarcreek Township. Marcus Miller, a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Sugarcreek, was traveling west on a 2011 Kawasaki EX250 when he collided with a 2016 Mazda CX-5 driven by 84-year-old Martha Egan of Dover, who was making a left turn. Following the initial collision, Miller's motorcycle slid and struck a 2023 Nissan Rogue driven by Tiffany Ervin, 49, of Coshocton. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, despite wearing a helmet and protective clothing. Neither Egan nor Ervin, nor any passengers, sustained injuries. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from local police, fire departments, and the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office.
