Plane Crash in Ukiah Downtown Causes Power Line Damage
A small aircraft crashed into power lines in downtown Ukiah, California, causing a temporary closure of North Main Street. The incident occurred near North Main and East Smith streets, close to the local library. The aircraft, identified as a PZL-104 Wilga 35A, clipped power lines during an emergency approach, resulting in a small fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no significant damage to buildings or vehicles occurred, although some trashcans were damaged. Emergency personnel responded promptly, closing the affected street section to manage the situation.
