Congressman Bell Announces Over $10 Million in Workforce Development Funding for St. Louis Community College
Congressman Wesley Bell (D-MO-01) has announced that the Junior College District of St. Louis, also known as St. Louis Community College, will receive over $10 million in federal funding. Specifically, $10,798,968 has been allocated to expand the college's workforce training opportunities. This funding is part of the U.S. Department of Labor's Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grants Program. Congressman Bell has consistently advocated for workforce development programs and has made supporting such initiatives a priority during his time in Congress. Earlier this year, he introduced the Building Reentry and Inclusive Development for Greater Employment (BRIDGE) Act, which aims to enhance economic mobility and employment pathways for justice-impacted individuals and opportunity youth.
