Police Conduct Welfare Checks at Brian Hickerson's Family Home Following Hayden Panettiere's Death
Greenville Police Department officers conducted multiple welfare checks at the South Carolina home of Brian Hickerson's grandmother, Betty Ellison, days after actress Hayden Panettiere was found dead at a nearby Airbnb. Panettiere, 36, died of a suspected overdose on Sunday afternoon. Officers initially arrived at the residence on Wednesday morning, knocking on doors but receiving no response, though Zach Hickerson, Brian's brother, was confirmed to be home. Approximately an hour and a half later, officers returned to conduct another welfare check, this time going around the back of the property. Brian Hickerson, 37, who has a history of domestic violence allegations and arrests involving Panettiere, was reportedly asleep in the Airbnb bedroom when Panettiere was found unresponsive in the living room by Zach Hickerson.
