Small Craft Advisory Issued for Northeast Florida Waters
The National Weather Service in Jacksonville, Florida, has issued a Small Craft Advisory from Friday morning through late Saturday night, effective October 8, 2026. Northeast winds of 15 to 20 knots are expected today, with seas ranging from 4 to 5 feet (1.2 to 1.5 meters), occasionally reaching 6 feet (1.8 meters). Conditions will worsen Friday, with east winds increasing to 25 to 30 knots and seas building to 7 to 10 feet (2.1 to 3 meters), occasionally reaching 13 feet (4 meters). Intracoastal waters will be rough, and showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the weekend.
