Two Men Charged in Melbourne ATM Cash Theft Scheme Involving $500,000
Two men have been charged in connection with a scheme involving the theft of nearly $500,000 during cash deliveries linked to ATMs across Melbourne. The arrests were made by detectives from the Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit after executing warrants at properties in Mickleham and Dallas. The investigation began following reports of discrepancies in cash collected during ATM runs, with over 10 incidents reported between April and July. The alleged thefts involved cash movements across several Melbourne suburbs, including Tarneit, Keilor Downs, and South Melbourne. A 25-year-old man from Dallas and a 44-year-old man from Mickleham have been charged with 11 counts of theft and are due to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
