Philadelphia Police Report Surge in Honda Thefts Amidst Rising Vehicle Crime
The Philadelphia Police Department has reported a significant increase in vehicle thefts, with nearly a quarter of the stolen cars being Hondas. As of July 28, 2026, over 8,124 vehicles have been stolen in the city, highlighting a troubling trend. The Fairmount neighborhood has been particularly affected, with several residents waking up to find their Honda vehicles vandalized or missing parts. In response, Honda has suggested that owners can enhance their vehicle's security by using the HondaLink service, which offers features like a stolen vehicle locator and security alerts. This service is available for a trial period, after which it incurs a monthly or annual fee.
