Congressman Brendan F. Boyle Supports $44 Million Accessibility Upgrade at Philadelphia's 11th Street Station
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has initiated a $44 million project to enhance accessibility at the 11th Street Station in Philadelphia. Congressman Brendan F. Boyle has publicly supported this initiative, highlighting his role in securing federal funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The project's primary goal is to make the station fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by installing two new elevators, providing street-level access to both eastbound and westbound platforms. Other planned improvements include new lighting, communication system upgrades, a new employee bathroom, a new cashier booth, new floor and wall tiles, new wayfinding signage, structural repairs, and waterproofing improvements.
